1. Overview

LINK2U is a contact exchange and voice messaging application developed by SY5TEM N3XT. This Privacy Policy explains how LINK2U handles information on your device.

LINK2U is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. The application operates entirely on your device. We do not operate servers, databases, or any infrastructure that receives, stores, or processes your personal information.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

SY5TEM N3XT does not collect any of the following:

• Your name, phone number, email address, or any profile fields you enter
• Your contacts or address book
• Voice recordings or audio data
• Voice transcriptions or memo text
• SMS messages you send through the app
• QR codes or vCards you generate
• Usage data, analytics, or behavioral data
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or crash reports
• Location data

3. Permissions Used and Why

LINK2U requests the following Android permissions. Each is used only for the stated purpose and never for data collection.

RECORD_AUDIO
Used to capture your voice when you hold the fingerprint button. Audio is processed immediately by Android's built-in speech recognition engine and converted to text on your device. LINK2U never stores, transmits, or accesses the raw audio data.

READ_CONTACTS
Used by the ZING feature to let you search and select recipients from your phone's contact list. Your contacts are read locally and never transmitted to any server.

WRITE_CONTACTS
Used after a voice capture to save a newly captured contact directly into your phone's Contacts app. This write happens entirely on your device.

SEND_SMS
Used to send your contact card and ZING voice-to-text messages directly from your phone to recipients as standard SMS. Messages go from your device directly to the recipient — LINK2U is never in the middle and does not log or store messages.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Used to deliver voice memo alarm reminders as notifications on your device.

SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM
Used to fire voice memo reminders at the precise time you set.

VIBRATE
Used for haptic feedback when you press the fingerprint button.

WAKE_LOCK
Used for a maximum of 10 seconds when an alarm fires, to ensure the notification is delivered even if your screen is off.

INTERNET
Used exclusively for the Profile Sync feature, which opens a temporary local network connection between your phone and a computer on the same WiFi network. No data is sent to the internet or to any external server.

4. Profile Sync (Local Network)

The Profile Sync feature allows you to fill in your profile from a computer browser on the same WiFi network. When active, LINK2U opens a temporary server on your local network (port 8765) that serves a web form to your browser.

This connection is peer-to-peer between your phone and your computer only. It is protected by a 6-digit PIN that expires when the session ends. No profile data passes through any external server or the internet at any point.

The sync session closes automatically when you end it or navigate away.

5. Voice Recognition

LINK2U uses Android's built-in SpeechRecognizer system — the same engine used by Google's own applications. Voice processing is handled by Android's system service. LINK2U does not have access to raw audio after it is passed to the system recognizer.

Transcribed text is displayed to you for review before any action is taken. You control whether to save, send, or discard it.

6. Data Storage

All data — your profile, contacts, voice memos, QR presets, and settings — is stored exclusively in your device's local storage using Android SharedPreferences and the device cache directory. Nothing is uploaded, synced to a cloud, or shared with SY5TEM N3XT.

If you uninstall LINK2U, all locally stored data is deleted by Android as part of standard app uninstallation. We recommend using the Backup feature before uninstalling to preserve your profile.

7. Third-Party Services

LINK2U does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. There are no third-party SDKs in LINK2U that collect user data.

The ZXing library is used for QR code generation. It operates entirely on-device and does not transmit any data.

8. Children's Privacy

LINK2U is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since LINK2U collects no data at all, no data from any user — including children — is ever transmitted to us.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of LINK2U after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
